Spirit Owl Leather Maskby ~teonova

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Masks

This leather mask has been colored with a mix of leather dyes and acrylic paints in an abstract sort of way, not meant to look exactly like a real owl but some a little more fantastic or otherworldly. Colors are mainly shades of grey, black and white with some of the natural tan/brown color of the leather underneath left showing through (visible more in some but not all lighting conditions). It has a protective topcoat and a pair of coordinating ribbon ties. Mask is made of two layers of high quality leather, glued and stitched. I work in light leather that accepts and holds detailed molding and forming, and is also easier to wear than heavier leather masks.
